At Eva NYC, we're committed to reaching net zero by 2035 by maintaining powerful partnerships built on sustainability & tracking our impact behind the scenes. We’ve accomplished a lot, but there’s still so much to do!
In 2023:
We decreased our total emissions by 57%!
We celebrated one year of being B Corp Certified
We committed 100 hours to volunteering with our Brooklyn partners, Green City Force
We launched new partnerships and made improvements in our supply chain, which you can read more about below!
4Oceans Partnership
This year we launched our partnership with 4Ocean, one of the world’s only companies that directly manages a global ocean cleanup by removing + recovering plastic and other harmful debris from the world’s oceans. In 2024, we’re committing to pulling 25,000 pounds of plastic from the ocean to keep our planet clean and help end the plastic crisis.
Regenerative Agriculture
We started our exciting new partnership with Forested, a social enterprise based in East Africa, to begin our regenerative agriculture project. We plan to grow ingredients that are already used in our products, making sure our ingredient production is maximizing biodiversity and supporting smallholder farmers and communities. This project will bring increased traceability and eventually remove CO2 from the environment!
Supply Chain
Our supply chain is a huge part of our sustainability strategy. We want to make sure that every step of getting great hair is as sustainable as possible, even the steps behind the scenes.
Shipping with trucks across the U.S. is better for the planet and will help us drive down emissions on the road to Net Zero. Your favorite haircare products will be taking the scenic route to your doorstep!
We also started a subsidized energy program with our suppliers to encourage their use of renewable energy. We will be matching their renewable commitment by 50%+.
Our commitment to sustainability doesn’t stop here. While we celebrate exciting achievements, we have so much more to do in our journey to becoming Net Zero by 2035.
