In honor of Women’s History Month, Eva NYC partnered with Hibiscus Brew: a fellow Brooklyn Born, Jamaican owned + women owned wellness shop. Along with Hibiscus Brew Founder, Allison Dunn, we’re on a mission to make the beauty and wellness industry more sustainable. 

To celebrate with our community, we created a limited-edition smoothie with sustainably sourced ingredients from Hibiscus Brew that were synergistically inspired by the clean ingredients in Eva NYC’s Mane Magic 10-in-1 Shine Mask. On the day of the giveaway, this community activation sold out in less than one hour!

It’s time to recreate your own Shine Smoothie!

Here’s Allison’s magic recipe that had satisfied our community’s craving.

Eva NYC Mane Magic 10-in-1 Shine Mask and Hibiscus Brew Smoothie

Ingredients: 

- 8 ounces of almond milk 

- 1/2 banana (frozen) 

- 8-10 strawberries (frozen) 

- 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder 

- 1 scoop of almond butter 

- Sprinkle of cinnamon 

- 1 swirl of agave 

- 1 scoop of ice (if no frozen fruit available) 

 For the sauce: 

- 1 scoop plum powder 

- 1 scoop ube powder 

- 1 swirl of agave 

-2 ounces of hot water 
 

Instructions: 

  1. In a blender, combine the almond milk, frozen banana, frozen strawberries, vanilla protein powder, almond butter, cinnamon, and agave.
  2. If you don't have frozen fruit, add a scoop of ice to the blender.
  3. Blend the ingredients until you have a smooth and thick liquid. The liquid should have a pink color.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the plum powder, ube powder, agave, and hot water to create the purple sauce.
  5. Pour the purple sauce into a cup, filling it about 1 inch of the way.
  6. Slowly pour the smoothie into the cup, allowing it to create a gradient effect with the purple sauce.
  7. Pour the rest of the sauce on top of the smoothie.
  8. Give it a gentle stir or swirl to combine the colors.
  9. Enjoy your delicious and visually appealing smoothie!
